Dream Workshop

The more a person works with his dreams and incorporates his dream experiences into his waking life, the more he will discover all that he can be. Dreams can be deep sources of wisdom if we learn to listen and pay attention to them. Interpretation of dreams is the most exciting field of psychoanalysis. Many messages we receive require the interpretation of dream symbols or dream themselves. Dream interpretation is a complex challenge but it is one of the most fulfilling and transformative journeys you will ever embark upon. We consult a bevy of professionals for every aspect of our life from our emotional conundrums, to our physical challenges and ultimately to our spiritual aspirations. But all of us have within us the wisest and most loving advisor imaginable! Our dreaming minds. There are few roads to our authentic wisdom and certainly none as accurate or as psychically tuned in as our dreams.

Objectives

1. To acquaint the participant with the Freudian theory of dream and dream interpretation;
2. To familiarize them with the techniques of dream interpretation;
3. To discuss the role of dream interpretation in counseling;
4. To familiarize the participants with Hobson's activation synthesis theory.

Faculty for the workshop

Dr. Pushpa Misra who is a Trained Psychoanalyst from Indian Psychoanalytical Society affiliated to International Psychoanalytic Association, NY (1970) would be the faculty for this workshop. She has done her Ph. D. in Philosophy from the University of Rochester, NY, in 1988. She has published various articles and has been awarded various fellowships.

Fees: Rs 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per participant, including lunch and refreshments. The Cheque may please be drawn in the name of ‘Tangram’
